TIMELINES FOR THE 2025-26 PRINCIPAL AND VICE-PRINCIPAL SELECTION PROCESS:

2025-26 Principal and Vice-Principal Selection Process Timelines

As per Section 1.1.3 of the Selection, Promotion and Placement Process for School Principals and Vice-Principals (PR705), the determination has been made that system needs will be met by running a Fall and Spring process for the 2025/26 school year. 
 
The Fall 2025 selection process will include a process for Elementary Vice-Principal and Elementary Principal.

 

FALL 2025: ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL AND VICE-PRINCIPAL SELECTION PROCESS

Qualified staff who are interested in applying for the position of Elementary Vice-Principal and Elementary Principal are asked to complete and submit the “Notice of Intent to Apply” form linked below.  This form will provide notice to your Principal and Superintendent of your interest in applying for an administrative position.

All candidates considering submitting a Notice of Intent should carefully read the “Selection, Promotion and Placement Process for School Principals and Vice-Principals” document to ensure they familiarize themselves with the process.  Please submit the completed Notice of Intent to Apply Form, signed by your Principal and/or Superintendent, as outlined on the linked forms.

The Notice of Intent to Apply Form must be received by 12:00 p.m. Noon, Friday, September 19, 2025.

Elementary Vice-Principal to Principal: Notice of Intent to Apply Form

A mandatory virtual information session for candidates who have submitted a Notice of Intent to Apply will be held on: Thursday, September 25, 2025, 4:30 to 6:30 pm via virtual presentation - link to be shared with candidates on a later date. 

This session will inform candidates of the next steps in the process and the expectations of leadership in TDSB.
