Parent Webinar Session October 28 AM and October 29 PM - Communication Strategies for Children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities

The Special Education and Inclusion Department is pleased to host a session for families, offering strategies to help children with special education needs and disabilities develop their communication skills. Families will explore strategies, resources, and ways to celebrate and build upon their child’s unique strengths.

The Special Education and Inclusion Department, in collaboration with all staff, is committed to providing equitable access to learning opportunities for all students, through our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, human rights, anti-oppression, equity and anti-ableism.

The work of the Special Education and Inclusion Department is guided by the goals outlined in the Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP). The TDSB values a strong public education system that promotes full participation by identifying, removing, and preventing accessibility barriers so that all students, including students with disabilities/special education needs and intersecting identities, are provided with opportunities to realize their full potential.

The conditions for success, listed below, are factors that contribute to the successful implementation of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan, 2024-2028.
