The TDSB has a strong leadership team focused on enabling all students to reach high levels of achievement. The Board is supported by 22 publicly elected Trustees who each represent one of the 22 wards in the City of Toronto and are advocates for education and the voice of the public.
The Board of Trustees appoints a Director of Education who is assisted by executive officers and is responsible for:
- Serving our students and communities
- Improving academic performance
- Managing business services
- Providing staff support
- Operating and maintaining buildings
